Areas of Expertise
With a background in political science and communication, Amber Lee brings her expertise in survey research to the Consumer Finance Institute (CFI). Amber, as a CFI survey research fellow, is tapping her skills and experience in survey work to provide a deeper understanding of people’s economic and financial behavior. She previously worked on a number of research projects that examine the sociopolitical factors shaping individual behavior and the implications for policy preferences and trust in systems and institutions.
Amber joined the Philadelphia Fed in July 2023 after completing her postdoctoral research fellowships, including those at the Penn Identity & Conflict Lab at UPenn and with the Consortium on Electoral Democracy in Canada. Her research has been published in a variety of journals, including Nature Human Behavior and American Political Science Review, and she has several additional articles and papers in the works.
Amber has a joint Ph.D. in political science and communication from the University of Pennsylvania.
