In this brief, we explore data relating to job search behavior among established employees — those who are currently employed and have been at their job for at least one year.

We see that around 40 percent of these employees have considered leaving their jobs within the previous 12 months, while around 12 percent of them are actively searching. Among those who have abandoned a job search or chosen to never start one, more than half cited concerns about the economy or the current job market as a roadblock to their search.
