The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia has launched a nationwide search for its next president to succeed Patrick T. Harker, whose tenure will conclude on June 30, 2025. The Bank is committed to an open, inclusive, and transparent search process, with ample opportunities for public input.

As part of our outreach efforts, the Philadelphia Fed hosted a virtual public engagement forum on Tuesday, October 8, 5:30 p.m.–6:30 p.m. It featured members of the Search Committee discussing the process for selecting our next president and the qualities they are seeking. They also answered questions and heard feedback from stakeholders for the Search Committee to consider.

Participants included:

  • Anthony Ibargüen, Chair of the Search Committee and the Philadelphia Fed Board of Directors; CEO, Quench USA, Inc.
  • Sharmain Matlock-Turner, Search Committee Member and Deputy Chair of the Philadelphia Fed Board of Directors; CEO, Urban Affairs Coalition
  • Thomas Daniels, Search Consultant, Spencer Stuart
  • Moderator: Kelly Jones, Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Director of the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion, Philadelphia Fed

A small group of community stakeholders was invited to participate onsite. If you would like to ask a question or offer feedback outside of the public engagement forum, please email PresidentialSearch@phil.frb.org
