Mark your calendar for Financial Wellness for Older Adults: Understanding the Challenges of an Aging Population, an in-person convening hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia’s Consumer Finance Institute.

As the population of Americans entering retirement grows, the need to address their financial challenges has become increasingly urgent. The conference will examine pressing issues such as restricted access to credit, the rising threat of financial fraud, and the substantial expenses tied to long-term care and maintaining independence. These challenges are further complicated by rapid technological advancements that are transforming how individuals manage their finances. The program will also explore the consequences of declining financial capacity among older adults, and it will spotlight the financial burdens associated with caring for aging family members.

Through engaging conversations with industry leaders, medical providers, and academic researchers, we hope to cultivate a nuanced understanding of how financial wellness evolves over time.
