Senior Vice President, Research Support
Stan Sienkiewicz is a senior vice president in the Research Department at the Philadelphia Fed. In that role, he oversees all support functions for the Bank’s staff economists and analysts, including the department’s research area network, analytic support staff, Federal Open Market Committee administrative services, the library and data management, and publications services. He cochairs the Federal Reserve System’s Committee on Research Automation, is the Research CIO for the Federal Reserve System’s Technology Development Leadership Council, and is on several executive advisory groups related to System IT, including Migrate to Cloud & Modern Infrastructure and Enhance Data Management & Analytics. He is also a member of the Community College of Philadelphia’s Business Administration Advisory Committee.
Sienkiewicz joined the Research Department in 2008 and served in various leadership roles before being named senior vice president in 2020. He began his career at the Bank in 1984 and has held managerial posts in the Business Planning and Financial Management Services departments. He also cofounded the Payment Cards Center (now the Consumer Finance Institute). Sienkiewicz has an M.A. in economics from Fordham University, an M.A. in systematic theology from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, and a B.A. in economics from Holy Family University.
