Community Engagement Associate III

Areas of Expertise

Alma Felix is a community engagement associate in the Community Development and Regional Outreach Department. Alma’s work centers on workforce and economic development in support of the Federal Reserve’s maximum employment mandate.

In this role, Alma builds programs and partnerships within low- and moderate-income communities that help address economic challenges, spark job creation, and revitalize local small business ecosystems. She is also interested in how economic factors impact health outcomes for people and communities.

Previously, Alma worked in the nonprofit sector, managing grants and programs that addressed community needs. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she united Lancaster community partners to launch a small business loan program and an innovative giving circle to support local entrepreneurs. More recently, she worked alongside several Reserve Banks across the northeast and mid-Atlantic regions to convene broad stakeholders to explore ways to expand small business credit.

Alma has a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Albright College and a master of public health in epidemiology from Drexel University.
