New Perspectives on Consumer Behavior in Credit and Payments Markets

The Consumer Finance Institute and the Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia hosted their 10th biennial conference featuring new research on consumer credit and payments.

The papers accepted for this year’s conference addressed a wide range of issues, including the effect of technological change on markets for consumer credit and payments, behavioral biases in decision-making related to high-cost loans, the long-run implications of borrowing for education, and the importance of liquidity and wealth constraints on credit and labor markets.
