On January 23, President Donald Trump issued a memorandum that instituted a temporary, government-wide hiring freeze.
While Federal Reserve Bank employees are not federal government employees, we are choosing to follow the spirit of this guidance directed at federal agencies, given its budgetary and financial implications, while remaining positioned to meet our important public service mission.
