Supplier Diversity Mission Statement
The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia recognizes the importance of a diverse supplier base and is committed to supplier diversity. It is the Bank's mission to seek, identify, and foster business relationships with, and purchase goods and services from, certified small businesses, including businesses owned by minorities, women, veterans, disabled persons, and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and/or transgender persons.
Working with diverse suppliers is an essential part of how we do business at the Fed. As a regional employer and a member of the national Federal Reserve System, we continually seek opportunities to partner with new providers and to maintain a sourcing and procurement process that is equitable, inclusive, and consistent.
Our supplier diversity program was initiated more than a decade ago to expand our reach and working relationships with certified small businesses, particularly ones that are minority-owned. Today, we have a wide-ranging portfolio of diverse suppliers that provide a variety of business needs — everything from facility maintenance to office supplies to telecommunications services.
Our commitment to equity for racial minority and women business owners is an integral part of the Procurement team's sourcing process.

By partnering with associations like the Women Business Enterprise National Council and National Minority Supplier Development Council, we can convene events and meetings that help forge connections with diverse suppliers and simplify “how to do business with the Fed” for qualified program partners.
The Office of Diversity & Inclusion supports this and other initiatives at the Bank that promote the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
