Tesia Lemelle started her career in traditional banking, but when she joined our Supervision, Regulation, and Credit department, she had an opportunity to take her passion for helping people with their financial lives further than before. She’s making her mark by working with minority banks, ensuring access to banking services in places where there may not be a traditional bank.

She and her colleagues recognized that the Philadelphia Fed has the expertise and reach to educate young people about consumer protection issues and personal finance, creating a program that gives students the tools and information they need to make smart personal finance decisions.

Our People, Our Stories showcases employees to tell the story of the Philadelphia Fed and celebrate the work we do to improve the Third District. Stay tuned for more episodes in this series!
