Michael Pearson

Michael (Mike) K. Pearson is the president and CEO of Union Packaging, LLC (UP), a Yeadon, PA-based, single-use paperboard packaging maker for earth-friendly foodservices and quick service restaurants.

Pearson is currently on the executive board of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and chairs the Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC; formerly Philadelphia Health Management Corporation) board. In addition, he is a Philadelphia Regional Port Authority commissioner. In 2015, Fisher & Phillips LLP, a national labor and employment law firm, presented its first Business Leadership in Diversity Award to Pearson for his longstanding commitment to diversity in business within the Philadelphia business community. He was named an Outstanding Director by the Philadelphia Business Journal for service on the PHMC board the same year.

Pearson served as a U.S. Army Officer in the Persian Gulf War, where he received the Bronze Star. Before UP, he worked at Pfizer, Wyeth Laboratories, and Westvaco. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
