Describes community and economic development programs and issues and consumer and compliance issues inside and outside the Federal Reserve's Third District. Cascade Briefs is an electronic newsletter sent out three times/year.
Summarizes the department’s research on issues related to community development in low- and moderate-income communities and fair and impartial access to credit in underserved markets. Reports in this series are topically similar to, but more concise than, the department’s discussion papers and special reports.
Provide historical information, maps, and demographic, economic, and lending data about metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs) or portions of MSAs in the Third Federal Reserve District. Information about community organizations and funding sources is also included.
Include summaries of workshops, seminars, and conferences on topics that affect low- and moderate-income people and communities.
Examine issues of affordable housing, community and economic development, financial education, and consumer credit and payments that affect low- and moderate-income people and communities.
Look at the issues and challenges affecting low- and moderate-income people and communities.
Highlight specific affordable-housing or economic-development programs in the tri-state region (PA, NJ, or DE) or in other parts of the country.
Raises awareness about the practice of abusive lending and how borrowers can protect themselves.
