The Financial Statistics Department is the point of entry for the vast majority of data and reports filed with this Reserve Bank by financial institutions. The reports and data submitted are used to:
- project reserves for use in the Federal Reserve's open market operations
- determine reserve requirements
- monitor and interpret changes in interest rates, bank credit, and a variety of other economic indicators
- support regulatory functions
Our mission:
To provide the Board of Governors with accurate and timely data and information on Third District financial institutions in support of monetary policy decisions, open market operations, and regulatory functions.
