Bank Names Director of Real-Time Data Research Center

Keith Sill, Assistant Vice President and Director of Real-Time Data Research CenterPhiladelphia, Pa. – The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia has announced the promotion of Keith Sill to assistant vice president and director of the Real-Time Data Research Center in the Bank's Research Department, effective July 1, 2009.

The Real-Time Data Research Center, established in August 2008, is a source of knowledge and expertise about real-time macroeconomic data, macroeconomic modeling, and surveys of macroeconomic forecasts, including the Survey of Professional Forecasters and the Livingston Survey. The real-time data set enables monetary policymakers, researchers, and forecasters to review past data used by monetary policymakers to make decisions about interest rates.

Sill joined the bank in 1992. Most recently, he has worked as an economic advisor and economist, conducting research on forecasting, business cycles, and monetary policy.

Sill's research has been published in leading economic journals, such as the Journal of Monetary Economics, Review of Economics and Statistics, the International Journal of Forecasting, and Review of Economic Dynamics. He is a member of the Econometric Society and the American Economic Association. Sill holds a bachelor's degree in geology from Ohio State University and a master's degree and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Virginia.
