The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia announces the appointment of Jack Kelly as Check Adjustment Officer from Group Manager of the Bank's Check Settlement and Automated Clearinghouse Department. He replaces Maryann Hood who moves to the Bank's Human Resources Department.
Since joining the Federal Reserve in 1981, Kelly has worked in various capacities within the Bank's Fiscal and Retail Payments Departments holding positions including budget Coordinator, Operations Manager and Group Operations Manager. Previously, he worked for Reliance Insurance Co. in Philadelphia as a financial analyst in the Investment Accounting Department.
He earned a bachelor's degree in finance and an MBA in accounting from LaSalle University, Philadelphia. He also holds an associate's degree from the Community College of Philadelphia. Kelly is married and has three children. He and his wife live in Newtown Borough, Bucks County.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia serves depository institutions in eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware by supplying cash to these banks and thrifts; supervising them; collecting and processing about 4.6 million checks daily; and wiring money and securities nationwide as well as participating in the broader objective of setting monetary policy.
