    The Research Department and the Payment Cards Center of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia held their fourth joint conference to present and discuss the latest research on consumer credit payments.
  • New York/Philadelphia Workshop on Quantitative Macroeconomics
    May 11, 2007, Philadelphia, PA
    This was the second in a series of semi-annual meetings that alternate between the New York and Philadelphia Federal Reserve Banks. The purpose of these workshops is to bring together researchers from the New York and Philadelphia areas who work on various aspects of macroeconomics. This workshop continued to explore the subject of the first meeting, labor markets and macroeconomics.
  • Real-Time Data Analysis and Methods in Economics
    April 19-20, 2007, Philadelphia, PA
    The Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, the Economics Department at Rutgers University, and the Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond sponsored this conference that brought together leading researchers in all areas of real-time data analysis.
  • Philadelphia Workshop on Monetary and Macroeconomics
    March 30-31, 2007, Philadelphia, PA
    The purpose of these workshops is to foster research in the area of monetary and macroeconomics. The workshops lasted a day and a half, with eight high-quality research papers presented and formally discussed. This year's workshop focused on topics in monetary theory, monetary policy, money and asset markets, and economic development.
  • Federal Reserve System Community Affairs-Research Conference External Link
    March 29-30, 2007, Washington, DC
    The Community Affairs Officers of the Federal Reserve System jointly sponsored their fifth biennial research conference, to encourage objective research into the factors governing the availability of credit and capital to individuals and businesses within this changing financial services environment. The Philadelphia Fed's Research Department and Community Affairs Department organized the conference program. The conference brought together a diverse audience from academia, financial institutions, community organizations, foundations, and government. The Journal of Economics and Business intends to publish a special issue on the topics covered in the conference.

    November 17, 2006
    The Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia will host a one-day workshop on recent scholarly research in international trade.
  • Philadelphia Workshop on Monetary and Macroeconomics

    The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, the Penn Institute for Economic Research, and the International Economic Review hosted a workshop on Monetary and Macroeconomics.

    The third annual Philadelphia Fed Policy Forum, "Managing the Recovery in Uncertain Times," was held at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.
  • The Use of Composite Indexes in Regional Economic Analysis
    September 4 – 5, 2003
    The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, in association with the Review of Economics and Statistics, held a conference on the use of composite indexes in regional analysis.
  • Conference on Retail Credit Risk Management and Measurement
    April 24 – 25, 2003
    The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia sponsored a conference on retail credit risk management and measurement. Selected papers presented at the conference will be published in a special issue of the Journal of Banking and Finance.

    The second annual Philadelphia Fed Policy Forum, "Crises, Contagion, and Coordination: Issues for Policymakers in the Global Economy," was held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center (12th and Arch Streets).
  • The Philadelphia Workshop on Monetary and Macroeconomics
    October 11 – 12
    The workshop was sponsored by the Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, Penn Institute of Economic Research, and International Economic Review. The purpose of this workshop was to foster research in the area of monetary and macroeconomics by bringing together researchers from academia and policy institutions around the world for intensive discussion of their current research relating to monetary theory, labor economics, asset markets, macroeconomic and monetary policies, and other relevant areas.
  • Innovation in Financial Services and Payments Conference
    May 16 – 17, 2002
    The Research Department and the Payment Cards Center of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia co-sponsored a conference on "Innovation in Financial Services and Payments" at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.
