Mark Furletti, an industry specialist in the Payment Cards Center, recently received an award from the American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers. The college, which holds an annual writing competition to recognize the best scholarly work in consumer financial services, selected Mark’s paper "The Debate Over the National Bank Act and the Preemption of State Efforts to Regulate Credit Cards"
for its 2004 award.
The award was presented to Mark on April 2 at a dinner held in conjunction with the Banking Law Section meeting of the American Bar Association.
Mark is currently a law student at Temple University. His paper was also published in the Temple Law Review.
