Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia
The Financial Education Network (FEN) convenes regular meetings for representatives of nonprofit organizations, banks, and governments in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware who provide financial education to low- and moderate-income residents.
This meeting highlighted best practices on how low- and moderate-income residents can learn about personal finance and build assets. The meeting included insight on strategies that have and have not worked at volunteer income tax assistance (VITA) sites, where IRS-trained volunteers prepare tax returns without charge to residents.
